Aaliyah Daniel Haughton shot to stardom in 1994 with her album debut Age Ain't Nothing but a Numer. The album, made available at just 15 years old it went Gold. R. Kelly was a major influence on this collaboration which put the singer into the spotlight. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland worked together to create her second Album One In A Million. The album included the track If Your Boyfriend Only Knew as the single number one. Aaliyah became a household name as a R&B artist following the release of her second album, One In A Million. The year 2000 saw her co-starred with the legendary martial artist Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. The role was offered to her when she was spotted by film producer Joel Silver at an awards show. The film she was in was the vampire film that was based on Anne Rice Queen of the Damned, it came out in 2002. She then got into the Matrix with her role as Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. The actress is the very first generation of Indian-American who was born and raised in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation of her marriage last name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional names. Her acting career started in the early 2000 with small appearances on television and in films. Other than The Big Bang Theory her other most acclaimed works include Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). She has also been featured in commercials for big companies like the international auto manufacturer Volvo. She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting profession.
